Almost all of them – around 100,000 displaced people who managed to leave Gaza and around 7,600 medical evacuees – were given short-term tourist visas.
For displaced Palestinians like my mother, the lack of legal recognition, medical care, and basic dignity is a daily reminder of the world’s indifference.
