The Papua New Guinea National Weather Service has issued a strong wind warning effective from 5:00 AM today, February 25th, for numerous coastal areas across the country. The warning encompasses coastal waters from Port Moresby to Hood Point, all coastal waters of Milne Bay and its islands, coastal waters from Madang to Long Island through the Vitiaz Strait to Finschaffen and Siassi Island, all coastal waters of West New Britain including the St. George Channel to Namatanai, and the coastal waters of the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB).
