During the Cabinet meeting on Saturday, 10 June, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the Roadmap for 2023-2024 for the development of international cooperation aimed at exploring Turkmenistan’s accession to the Global Methane Pledge and the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement at the national level. Organization of specialized internships for employees of ministries and sectoral departments of Turkmenistan in the world’s leading research centers and companies involved in the implementation of Global Methane Pledge. Participants joining the Pledge agree to take voluntary actions to contribute to a collective effort to reduce global methane emissions at least 30% from 2020 levels by 2030, which could eliminate over 0.2˚C warming by 2050.
