Because of this engagement, years of voluntary work with refugees and his outstanding academic accomplishments he was awarded with a prestigious scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation and admitted as a member of the Max Weber-Program, Elite Network Bavaria. Elian’s interest in intra-African politics was strengthened through his participation in the National Model United Nations 2022 in New York City. As an intern for the Africa Faith and Justice Network, Elian is especially interested in learning about conflict prevention, combating corruption and gender equality in various African countries.
