A 16-year-old Boulder girl reported missing through an Amber Alert on Tuesday morning was found safe, according to police. The girl was last seen 8 p.m. Monday while being forced into a two-door, gray Chevy Silverado truck, state officials said in the Amber Alert. Boulder police worked with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation to issue a missing and endangered person alert at 11:46 p.m. Monday, which was upgraded to an Amber Alert at 6 a.m. Juan Bretado-Lopez, the man who investigators believe was driving the Chevy Silverado, was detained by police and taken to the Boulder Police Department. Boulder police initially said Bretado-Lopez was arrested, but later clarified he was detained and is being interviewed by investigators, according to the agency.
