Architecture students at the University of Oregon spent 10 weeks at a design studio visualizing what the future of Eugene Airport could potentially look like, working alongside professional architects and airport officials. Stephens also took photos of the students’ projects and plans to share some of them with the design team eventually selected to work on the airport’s expansion. The airport studio gave the students a chance to practice that, not by designing the airport, but by learning how architects collaborate with clients, communities and one another to envision what could come next.
