After Frank's (Danny DeVito) bride-to-be, Sam (Carol Kane), dies unexpectedly moments before the wedding and before Frank's greedy children, Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and Dee (Kaitlin Olson), can weasel their way into inheriting her large fortune, the two devise a plan by making Frank and the guests think she's still alive by pulling her around on strings like a puppet while walking her down the aisle.
