US tariffs on Indian goods have risen to 50%, one of the highest rates in the world.
As of August 27, most Indian goods going into the US market now face a 50% tariff, one of the highest rates in the world.
Matters got even worse when Trump announced an additional 25% tariff on India over its purchases of Russian oil.
The US is its biggest trade partner, with India exporting around $87 billion (€74.5 billion) worth of goods to the US in 2024.
India and the US could still strike a trade deal, and Sushant Singh believes New Delhi is desperate to get one done.
