Corporatism isn't just about big business and its effect on small businesses. You're leaving out the most important facet of corporatism: government. It's only through government regulations and subsidies that large corporations can squelch competition in the form of small businesses. Without government help, this simply wouldn't occur, and BIG BIZ wouldn't be nearly as big as its gotten.
