Proof that the affordable end of the game can generate just as much heat as the big boys, the Tissot PRX went from being a dusty archive footnote to TikTok's most-wanted watch in the space of a few years. Originally launched in 1978 as the Seastar, at the unlikely height of the quartz crisis, the PRX was rediscovered by Tissot's own team rifling through 8,000 watches in the brand's Swiss archives. The result is a flat, barrel-shaped case with a fully integrated steel bracelet that does the Gerald Genta thing for a fraction of the price, complete with the automatic Powermatic 80 movement and a dark blue dial that reads uncannily close to grail-watch blue.
