Five years ago, a movement began among UK foundations that would, over the next six years, grow from a small group of funders into a global movement. Educate and learn: Build climate awareness among staff and trustees, and continually learn about climate change’s implications for the foundation’s work. Integrate climate change into all existing programmes, priorities and processes, rather than treating it as a separate silo. By 2025, more than 130 UK foundations had signed the Funder Commitment on Climate Change. The Funder Commitment on Climate Change (FCCC) has already served as a catalyst, reshaping how UK foundations approach, engage with, and communicate about climate issues.
