The Ducks developed three promising attacks from the 20th to 23rd minutes, each reaching Gonzaga’s penalty box, but were met by the Bulldogs’ defense each time before Gonzaga took the ball back across midfield. In the 56th minute, Oregon had another promising attack as Abella Hunter dribbled past the Gonzaga defense and sent a shot into the back of the net to extend Oregon’s lead to 3-0. Gonzaga’s defense settled back in after that, and its offense found several more opportunities on the Oregon end of the field throughout the rest of the game, but it still could not find its way to the net as the Ducks remained perfect on defense through two games.
