The Khewra Salt Mine has temporarily stopped tourist entry until the end of the monsoon season due to heavy rains and seasonal maintenance. Malik Mohammad Naeem, manager of the Punjab Minerals Development Corporation at the Khewra Salt Mines, confirmed that authorities have stopped visitor entry until the monsoon season ends. Naeem assured visitors that the mine remains safe and said authorities will reopen it after the monsoon season.
