SHIPSHEWANA [mdash] Anna D. Chupp, 92, of Shipshewana, passed away peacefully with family by her side at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at her residence. She was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Shipshewana, to Daniel and Elizabeth (Kaufman) Weirich. On May 20, 1952, in Shipshewana, she married Eli M. Chupp. Eli died Dec. 4, 2016. Surviving are son, Eugene Chupp of Three Rivers, Michigan; five daughters, Betty (Mark) Miller of Carrier Mills, Illinois, Esther (Larry) Yoder of Middlebury, Carolyn Beechy of Millersburg, Loretta (Robert) Otto of Shipshewana, Linda (Wilbur Jr.) Mast of Claypool; 29 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Elizabeth Arkeketa; daughter-in-law, Roseanna Chupp; son-in-law, Edwin Beechy; five brothers, Harry, Joseph, Eli, Harley, Ora Weirich; three sisters, Katie Weirich, Ida Miller, and Nona Yoder. Anna had a passion for assisting adults with disabilities, which led her to serve at ARC Opportunities for many years. She was a dedicated member of Fairhaven Mennonite Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Rosewood Fellowship Church, 5705 N. 900 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 Ind. 4, Goshen. Services will be conducted by the Fairhaven Ministry Team.
