SYRACUSE [mdash] Miriam Speicher, 93, of Syracuse, passed away at 9:32 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, in Goshen Hospital. Miriam was born on May 1, 1932, in Milford, the daughter of the late Theo and Namo (Speheger) Beer. On June 22, 1948, she married Charles "Lewis" Speicher. He passed away on Aug. 5, 2015. Miriam is survived by four children, Ned (Deb) Speicher of Cicero, Ted (Sandy) Speicher of Noblesville, Tom (Tammy) Speicher of Milford and Sue Morgan of Syracuse; son-in-law, Tom Kroh of Fishers; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Bernie (Peg) Beer of Nappanee; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Beer of Fort Wayne. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Amy Kroh; great-grandson, Nicholas Dennis Crowder; son-in-law, Jerry Morgan; and siblings, Marguerite Hoerr, Rebecca Doll, Phillip Beer, Mary Fiechter and Alan Beer. Miriam was a member of the Wawasee Community Bible Church. She loved sewing and giving blankets to all the babies at church. She was a prayer warrior and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Visitation will take place from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, in Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m.; and burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.
