NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. [mdash] Terrance "Terry" L. Rickard, 90, North Fort Myers, formerly of New Paris, Indiana, died at 8:04 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral. He was born April 16, 1934, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Charles and Agnes (Kehoe) Rickard. On Aug. 30, 1953, he married Lois M. (Ehret) Rickard; and she died June 24, 2019. Surviving are three daughters, Denise Singleton, North Fort Myers, Diane (David) Sark, Goshen, Indiana, Carol (Anthony) Black, Middlebury, Indiana; six grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Sark, Melissa (Mike) Reddy, Melinda (Mark) Thomas, Mindy Sark, Elizabeth (John) Licause and Kyle Black; and great-grandchildren, Kylee and Brandt Sark, Paige Reddy and Abigail and Yemina McCartan. Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Lois; sister, Louise Hernicz; and brother, James Rickard. Terry was a teacher and coach at New Paris, Fairfield and Madison Grant Schools in Indiana, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of the State of Indiana, Kane Lodge Number 183, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Indiana, and a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. For 11 years, he was past president and secretary of Horizon Village, Florida. Terry enjoyed woodworking, sports and was an avid fisherman. A memorial gathering will be 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, Indiana 46526. Private burial in Olive (West) Cemetery.
