LAGRANGE [mdash] David Jay Yoder, 75, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Aug. 28, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.
He was born Jan. 22, 1950, in Goshen, to Andrew D. and Mary Alice (Herschberger) Yoder, who preceded him in death.
David dedicated all of his career to the RV Industry, working for both Coachman and Jayco Corp. He played a key role in starting Jayco's Idaho facility and served as vice president of operations. He retired in 2012 and returned to Indiana to be closer to his family.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, David found joy in fishing, woodworking and painting, but his greatest happiness came from time spent with his family — especially his grandchildren.
On Sept. 21, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada, David married Deb Mann.
Surviving are his wife, Deb Yoder of LaGrange; his four daughters, Stephanie Renee Gust of Middlebury, Angela Dawn Moore of LaGrange, Korrina Lin (Todd) Miller of Howe, and Kandace Jo White of LaGrange; 10 grandchildren, Morgan Moore, Ashton Miller, Jaylon Poole, Alexis Moore, Jashaun Poole, Kole (Makayla) Miller, Kendall Moore, Kayla Poole, Chloe Gust, and Jaden Moore; five great-grandchildren, Melody Miller, Marquis Miller, Everhett Miller, Saylor Moore, and Emma Moore; three sisters, Alma (Olin) Helmuth of Shipshewana, Sharon (Dale) Stuart of Sullivan, Illinois, and Edna (Jerry) Rafferty of Sullivan, Illinois; and one brother, Ron (Tina) Yoder of Warsaw.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 5, beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange. Glen Helmuth will lead the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heart-to-Heart Hospice, 5646 Coventry Lane, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
