Dec 28, 1979 - Sep 6, 2025 Shaun Jason Gingerich, 45, of St. Pete Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at 10:21 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at his parents' home in Wolcottville, Indiana. He was born Dec. 28, 1979, in Goshen, Indiana, to Ron and Kathy (Yoder) Gingerich. They survive. Survivors in addition to his parents are three brothers, Shane (Rachel) Gingerich of Wolcottville, Shannon (Amber) Gingerich of Millersburg, Indiana, Shad (Trisha) Gingerich of LaGrange, Indiana; girlfriend, Kate McCue of St. Pete Beach; six nieces and nephews, Landon, Jude, Finley, Reagan, Charlie, and Tavin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Katherine Yoder and Raymond and Edna Gingerich; and very close cousin, Kari Ann Nunemaker. Shaun lived life to the fullest. He was adventurous and created fun wherever he went. He cared deeply about his family, friends, and his two Pomeranians, Barrett and Waters. He loved creating memories with his brothers through playing soccer, snowboarding, or pulling through with a "game breaker" putt in a round of golf. In 2007, a short trip to Florida turned into finding his new home. The beach was his happy place where he would often go for runs or long walks with Kate. After returning home to Indiana, due to the impacts of hurricane Helene, he blessed his parents and family with nine months of creating precious memories. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at New Life Fellowship, 2755 S. Ind. 5, Topeka. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, Sept. 12, also at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Drew Ryall. Burial will be in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to The ARK Animal Sanctuary, LaGrange. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
