SHIPSHEWANA [mdash] Robert J. Lambright, 90, of Shipshewana, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 17, following a brief illness. He was born Sept. 15, 1935, to Cleo and Orpha (Hostetler) Lambright. He married Shirley Herschberger on Sept. 21, 1958, in Topeka. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Bruce of Columbia City; daughter, Marsue of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Janet (Dale) Kanagy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Wanda (Martin) Brotherton of Denver, Colorado; one brother, Vernon (Beth) Lambright of Laotto. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eloise Sommers; brother, James and his twin brother, Richard. Bob graduated from Shipshewana High School in 1954. From 1955-1958, he served in Pax Service in Germany and Greece. He worked in agri business for 45 years and in land development after retirement. Bob loved the Lord and was very active in church, serving as church board chairman, Sunday school teacher and working on various committees. He enjoyed volunteering and served at Menno Hof and The Depot for many years. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the noon funeral service on Monday, Sept. 22, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Conrad Showalter. A private burial will be held at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka. Memorials may be given to the Mennonite Central Committee.
