Thing is I google Trump anti-Semitic yet pro-Israel and it turns out that this idea is not so out there in left field. Some people in Israel actually believe it. If you can be anti-Semitic and yet pro-Israel, it makes no sense to deny that criticism of Israel may be driven by something other than anti-Semitism. Three points: a) UK Labour may be anti-Semitic too, but it is primarily critical of Israel. And of those Jews who blindly support everything any Israeli govt decides to do. and b) The US is in a deep crisis. The whole friggin country is absorbed in talking about idiot Trump tweets while the world goes on around it. and c) stemming from b) a country in crisis is in a flux. Always. Could you have imagined that the Republican party, the hawks, would staunchly defend Russian spying? What if Trump tomorrow tweets accusation of the media as a Worldwide Kike Conspiracy? Do you think Republicans in Congress will recoil? Or investigate whether or not it's true. Take a guess.
