Well, I certainly agree that a first-strike nuclear attack on Russia is pretty much out-of-the-question, most of all because President Putin is Trump's closest ally. The worry is with rogue nations like North Korea. Kim Jong-un has done everything he can to provoke Trump. If he crosses the line or accidentally hit South Korea in a test, a nuclear response by the uncontrollable President Trump is certainly possible. Remember that at the height of the Watergate scandal that coincided with war in the Middle East and rising tensions with the Soviet Union, nuclear missile operators received an emergency message one night to prepare for nuclear war. It is unclear whether the order came from an intoxicated Nixon or his closest advisors. One thing is clear, however, there is no appeal to such order for any of the 90 operators. They must follow the orders of the President. So, in my view, and considering the President's temperament a nuclear attack on a rogue nation is sadly a possibility.
