At a Policy and Strategy Meeting of Council on Monday evening, Councillors unanimously voted to endorse a hybrid model for youth advocacy in Penrith. The hybrid model will combine the proposed Youth Forum and Youth Committee Action Group to deliver a bi-monthly working group and an annual youth forum. “Penrith is younger on average than the rest of Sydney, and we basically have the perfect cross-section of young Aussies, with plenty of students, people entering the workforce, apprentices and young people setting up their own businesses, and young people putting down roots here and starting their own families,” Thain said.
