A Connecticut State Police trooper was injured after swerving to avoid a box truck on I-395 North in Killingly on Tuesday evening, according to state police. The crash happened near Exit 41 around 6:17 p.m. State police said Trooper Trainee Justin Tetreault, 23, of Danielson, was driving a 2024 Ford Interceptor Utility in the left lane with its emergency lights and sirens on. A box truck traveling in the right lane began merging into the left lane directly in the path of the Interceptor, according to the crash report.
