Along with the new Pixel 11 family and Pixel Watch 5, today Google is introducing the first edition of its very own smart tracker, the Pixel Tag, at its Made By Google event. It's oblong-shaped to match the rest of the Pixel accessory ecosystem, and it boasts advanced tracking features like Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Channel Sounding, a rare feature among the more popular Android-compatible smart trackers. Bluetooth Channel Sounding requires a device running Android 16 and up and Bluetooth 6.0, a specification that's just hitting the newest flagships launching now—only Samsung's Galaxy S26 series and Z Fold 8 Ultra come with Bluetooth 6.0, while the rest of the foldable lineup is stuck with Bluetooth 5.3.
