The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator opened the probe in February after the charity behind the CCA ceased trading, amid concerns over its financial governance and its ability to pay debts. A spokesperson for the regulator said: “We have concluded our inquiry work into CCA and are in the process of communicating with the charity’s trustees. But campaigners from Save Our CCA have accused Creative Scotland of running a “rushed timeline” and only paying “lip service” to the Scottish government’s promise that any new operator would recognise the cultural importance of the venue.
