Apple TV has picked up Ascension, a new psychological horror thriller from Alfonso Cuarón, with Caitríona Balfe set to star and executive produce the series. Alfonso Cuarón, Carlos Cuarón, James, and White are writing the project, with Apple Studios producing alongside Cuarón’s Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content. Ascension also continues Apple TV’s relationship with Anonymous Content, which is producing other upcoming Apple projects including Neuromancer and 12 12 12.
