Social commentator and former Malawi representative at Big Brother Africa, Fatima Nkata, has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding the departure of Women’s Football Association (NWFA) president Adelaide Migogo from Morocco, arguing that the controversy has exposed deeper structural inequalities in the administration of women’s football. Nkata said that while the NWFA is led by a seven‑member executive comprising six women and one man, the balance shifts dramatically at the level of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), the body with ultimate authority over football in the country.
