Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials, alongside state officials from Delaware and New Jersey, celebrated major achievements of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The event, held in New Castle, Delaware, on Wednesday, Aug. 12, highlighted the 75th anniversary of the first span of the Delaware Memorial Bridge, and the completion of the $89 million Bridge Ship Collision Protection System (SCPS). At its opening, the bridge was the first bridge to connect Delaware and New Jersey.
