Allen Hutchens’ plate has been growing fuller and fuller — and the longtime Clearwater Valley of Kooskia football coach recently came to the emotional decision that something had to go. Having earlier this summer made the move from the athletic director post for Clearwater Valley to the same position for both high school and middle school at Grangeville, and now finding himself needing to help care for his parents as they both contend with health issues, Hutchens concluded his coaching days were at an end. Succeeding Hutchens to guide the program will be Brian Hellyer, who served as a defensive coordinator for the Rams last year.
