ST. PAUL — Ron Schutz and incumbent Keith Ellison will face off in November for Minnesota attorney general. The attorney general is the state’s chief legal officer, defending challenges against the state and may sometimes get involved with larger nationwide lawsuits to reinforce the state’s interests. The attorney general also serves on the State Executive Council.
