What happens when an overseas client isn't paid?

A client's overseas customer has missed the payment date, the sales team still expects the money, and finance wants to know what belongs in the forecast. It should identify the correct debtor entity and address; include the contract, order and invoice; show delivery or acceptance; preserve any acknowledgment of the debt; summarize the dispute, if there is one; and set out a short chronology of promises and missed dates. For each material foreign receivable, keep five items together: accounting status, cash forecast, recovery status, next decision date and named owner.
