TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Idaho State Police Specialist Steve McClain was off-duty when he heard gunshots ring through the drive-thru window of the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls on Aug. 1. Idaho State Police on Tuesday identified McClain as the off-duty officer who returned fire at an armed gunman outside the Twin Falls restaurant earlier this month. “I am proud to serve alongside the men and women of the Idaho State Police , as well as those with the Twin Falls Police Department and other members of our law enforcement community,” McClain said.
