Fatboy Slim was always destined to be one of the weekend’s major attractions, and his performance demonstrated precisely why he remains such an enduring force on the festival circuit. Then came Kasabian who concluded the festival which for a band of this magnitude is never an uncomplicated responsibility, particularly when the audience has already endured several days of sunshine, late nights and an abundance of music. It’s not merely a music festival transplanted onto a beach, it’s a celebration of a particular way of life; surfing, music, food, nightlife, sunshine and the freedom associated with being beside the sea.
