Held under the theme “Climate-Driven Migration and Its Impacts in Ghana’s Upper East Region,” the Climate Talks 2026 dialogue focused on how environmental stress and the resulting movement of people affect livelihoods in Northern Ghana. Participants emphasised that the right policy frameworks and social inclusion can enable displaced populations to make meaningful contributions to host communities while supporting local economic development. Through the Climate Talks 2026 initiative, the German Embassy intends to continue fostering collaboration and practical responses to the growing intersection between climate change, migration, and security.
