Socialist Students – which organised walkouts of school, college and university students last September in protest against Donald Trump’s state visit to the UK – is one of twenty European youth and student organisations planning action. The coalition includes youth and student sections of political parties, national students’ unions, independent socialist youth organisations and anti-war campaign groups. Socialist Students national secretary, Adam Gillman, said: “By building the international youth walkouts this autumn, we hope to be part of building an international youth movement for socialism, not the war and permanent crisis that capitalism means for young people’s futures.
