On this day in Santa Clarita history, on the night of August 11, 2018, a fire broke out at the historic Big Oaks Lodge in Bouquet Canyon, Santa Clarita. A teenage witness, who lived on the property, said the fire began in the kitchen while the restaurant was open and the owner was present.
