Andy Baker, councillor responsible for housing and planning, said: "Residents are increasingly concerned about the cumulative impact of multiple large-scale energy infrastructure projects being focused within a relatively small part of Tendring. The council has raised concerns about the scheme, especially in light of the growing number of nationally significant energy projects proposed for the district. While the council acknowledges the importance of new energy infrastructure to support net zero targets and improve energy security, the authority remains concerned about the cumulative impact of several major projects being focused within the district.
