Strandlines, a collaborative project by UK textile artists Julia Wright, Beverley Caleno and Bryony Jennings, will be on display from August 15 to 31 at Old Bank Studios on King’s Quay Street. The exhibition combines fabric, reclaimed materials and intricate stitching to explore the fragile intersection of sea, land and human influence on the environment. Julia Wright hand-sews detailed forms using recycled materials to reflect the complexity of marine environments, while Bryony Jennings brings mythic sea creatures to life through large-scale sculptural figures.
