The Wrights Spring and Big Grass fires of Oregon, and the Little Giant and Sinlahekin fires of Washington, continue to show extreme active or extreme fire behavior, and evacuations and closures have been in effect. Four of the five largest wildfires in the nation are in Oregon, with the next largest wildfire found on the border of Oregon and Idaho. The Washington Cattlemen’s Association is collecting donations for its Emergency Wildfire Assistance Fund to provide emergency assistance to affected ranchers.
