After snaking through the Eastern United States, taking the stage with a cane each night, and getting hit with the occasional projectile, Billy Strings wrapped his summer tour over the weekend in Indiana. Every Billy Strings tour seems to prompt the same question: Is this the band’s peak? After Strings’ leg injury in April paused touring for a few months—resulting in make-up shows in Charleston, WV and Fishers, IN being tacked onto the end of the summer tour—each member of the quintet spent the break sharpening their individual musical identities.
