HII’s Mission Technologies division has secured a $2.2bn task order to strengthen intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities for the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). The STINGRAI programme will support SOUTHCOM in detecting, monitoring, and responding to unauthorised activities across Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, while also improving intelligence and reconnaissance operations relevant to US national security objectives. HII executive vice president and HII’s Mission Technologies division president Andy Green said: “This award is an incredible opportunity and goes right to the heart of what SOUTHCOM needs — clearer visibility, faster decision making, and the ability to stay ahead of rapidly changing threats.
