Another 80 students had newly qualified for fall 2026 as of early August, according to Erica Nance, the college’s SUNY Reconnect enrollment navigator. Although Nance works at Columbia-Greene, Reconnect is available through SUNY community colleges across New York. Students can use SUNY’s online directory to find qualifying degrees at campuses throughout the state, including Dutchess Community College, SUNY Ulster, SUNY Orange, and SUNY Sullivan. SUNY Reconnect students may attend full-time or part-time, with online and evening options available for some qualifying degree programs. Beginning in fall 2026, students pursuing eligible nursing degrees can receive SUNY Reconnect funding even if they already hold a college degree.
