The Pettis County Commission has announced that the Glenn Road Bridge will be closed by Friday, Aug. 14 at noon following a recent inspection by the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT). The County has been closely monitoring the bridge for the past two years, with MoDOT conducting inspections approximately every six months. During that time, the Commission has explored options to safely extend the bridge's service life while also preparing for its eventual replacement. In preparation for the bridge’s replacement, in 2024 the Commission initiated plans for a complete replacement of the bridge through the Bridge Replacement Off-System (BRO) program. The work already underway on the Glenn Road bridge replacement is a testament to that commitment.
