The retail destination, owned by property company Landsec, contributed £48,660,947 to the economy in 2025 and supported 1,028 jobs. Josef O’Sullivan, centre director at Braintree Village, said: "Retail destinations are part of the fabric of the communities they serve. "The findings demonstrate the important contribution Braintree Village continues to make to Essex. In total, Braintree Village generated £1,183,747.09 in social value last year through bursaries, community grants, volunteering and partnerships. Braintree Village also continued its environmental efforts through a partnership with Plan Bee, a specialist beekeeping service.
