A 17-year-old Gaffney High School student was shot and killed while waiting to board a school bus Wednesday morning. The shooting was witnessed by 15 students who were aboard the bus as well as the bus driver. My heart is heavy for this student’s family and those 15 students who were on board the bus and witnessed this heinous crime.” The Cherokee County School District released the following statement:“We are aware of the shooting that occurred near a school bus stop. We encourage families to rely on official district and law enforcement communications for updates and to avoid sharing unverified information.”
