Tel Aviv, Israel-based trading and investing platform eToro will acquire U.S.-focused online brokerage TradeZero in a $231 million deal that’s expected to close in the first half of 2027, the companies said Tuesday.
Yoni Assia, eToro’s co-founder and CEO, called the deal “an important step in building our US business.”
With the deal, eToro is looking to harness TradeZero’s “differentiated technology” and access to the Canadian market, as well as a community of traders it calls “highly engaged.”
Daniel Pipitone, TradeZero’s co-founder and CEO, called alignment with eToro an “exciting next step” for the company and its traders.
“TradeZero was built by active traders, for active traders, and everything we've done since 2015 has been in service of that community.”
