Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has assured the families of 10 police officers killed during a gun battle with suspected bandits in Sakaba Local Government Area that they will receive the state government’s support. According to the police, 17 suspected bandits were neutralised during the operation, while four motorcycles belonging to the attackers were destroyed. He stressed that the government would not allow any part of Kebbi State to be taken over by terrorists or other criminal elements. BACKSTORY:Ten police officers were killed during a gun battle with suspected bandits in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The officers were reportedly attacked along the Rafin Makuku axis after police operatives intercepted suspected bandits travelling between Zamfara and Kebbi states.
