LAHORE: Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid has caught the attention of Salman Khan fans after joking that Lahore would need a public holiday if the Bollywood superstar ever visited the city. Speaking about Salman’s popularity in Pakistan, Mustafa also highlighted how people’s love for artists can continue despite political tensions between India and Pakistan. Talking about Salman Khan’s popularity, Mustafa laughed and said, “Main hamesha hansta hoon ke agar Salman Khan Lahore aa jaye toh Lahore mein toh public holiday announce karna hoga,” meaning, “I always laugh that if Salman Khan comes to Lahore, the city would have to announce a public holiday.” One user joked, “Sirf Lahore mein nahi, poore Pakistan mein karna parega,” which translate to “Not just Lahore, it would have to be a public holiday across all of Pakistan.” Another admirer said India would never have another Salman Khan, while a fan from Karachi joked that they would travel to Lahore just to see the superstar if he ever visited.
