Interior designer and television personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen has spoken about the growing number of high-profile residents in the region, including Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham. The 61-year-old, who lives near Cirencester with his wife Jackie, told the London Standard that the area had changed during the nearly two decades he has lived there. "[The Cotswolds] is definitely feeling like a much more sophisticated, much more elegant, slightly fancier place than it used to," he said. Mr Llewelyn-Bowen said he considers the southern part of the region a less celebrity-focused area. He added that the area around Cirencester tends to draw more low-key famous faces, citing singer Sade as one of its most discreet residents.
