From next month, the streaming platform will add an 'AI persona' badge to artists that it deems to be AI-madeSpotify has revealed plans to better identify AI-generated artists on its platform. From mid-September, the streaming service will add an ‘AI Persona’ badge to artist profiles that it deems are AI-produced, rather than of a real person. So this year, we’ve made Artist Identity and Trust one of our very top priorities with the launch of Verified by Spotify, SongDNA, AI Credits, and Artist Profile Protection. Spotify will also do it own checks going forward in order to decide what artist profiles are worthy of the ‘AI Persona’ badge. Artists who believe their profile has been erroneously labelled with the ‘AI Persona’ badge will be able to appeal the decision.
